We believe trust is the foundation of great experiences. This page explains how Lovable may use your data for AI model training and how you can opt out. Customer data means the content you submit to or create with Lovable: prompts (including images and files you attach), code, project files, hosted applications, configurations, and generated outputs. It does not include the data your apps’ end users submit — that stays in your project’s own database and storage. Starting September 9, 2026, customer data from Free and Pro plans may be used to train, develop, and improve Lovable’s AI models and AI-powered features, as described in Section 5 of the updated Privacy Policy — see the Summary of Changes for what’s changing and when. You can opt out at any time — before training begins or after. Lovable does not use the following for model training:
  • Your apps’ end-user data — information your apps’ visitors or customers submit stays in your project’s own database and storage, and is not used to train our models.
  • Your account and billing details — we use them to run your account.
  • Business and Enterprise workspace data, which is excluded from training by default and remains governed by your organization’s Data Processing Agreement and contract terms.

Data opt-out

How your customer data is used depends on your plan:
  • Free and Pro: individual users can opt their own data out of AI model training at any time with an account-level setting.
  • Business and Enterprise: workspace data is governed by your organization’s agreement with Lovable — including your Data Processing Agreement — and is excluded from model training by default. No opt-out is needed.

Account-level opt-out (Free and Pro)

If you’re on the Free or Pro plan, you can opt your own data out of AI model training. Open Account Settings → Privacy and enable the Data collection opt out toggle. You can opt out before or after the September 9, 2026 effective date. If you opt out before that date, your data is not used for training; if you opt out later, your data is excluded from training going forward. Opting out is free and does not affect your use of AI features. The setting is on your account and covers the content you contribute. It does not change the setting of other members in a shared project or workspace — each person controls their own.
If every workspace you belong to is on a Business or Enterprise plan, the toggle appears already enabled and can’t be changed: your workspace data is excluded from training by default.
If you can’t sign in to your account, you can exercise your privacy choices by emailing privacy@lovable.dev.

Business and Enterprise: excluded by default

Business and Enterprise workspace data is excluded from AI model training by default. It is handled under your organization’s Data Processing Agreement and contract terms, which govern how workspace data is processed. Questions about your organization’s agreement: privacy@lovable.dev.

How Lovable handles personal data

  • Your account and billing details are not used for model training — we use them to run your account.
  • We do not share the contents of your projects — prompts, code, or your apps’ end-user data — with advertising platforms, unless you instruct us to do so.
  • Starting September 9, 2026, we may share limited pseudonymized identifiers with advertising platforms, as described in Section 6 of the updated Privacy Policy. In the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Brazil this happens only with your consent; in the United States you can opt out at any time via the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in our website footer, your privacy settings, or a Global Privacy Control signal.
  • We may create de-identified data — data that no longer identifies you and cannot reasonably be linked to you — and use it for purposes such as improving the Services. We maintain it in de-identified form and do not attempt to re-identify it, except to test that our de-identification works.
For the complete picture, see the Privacy Policy and the Summary of Changes taking effect September 9, 2026.

FAQ

Starting September 9, 2026, Lovable may use customer data from Free and Pro plans — prompts (including images and files you attach), code, project files, generated outputs, and usage data — to train, develop, and improve its AI models, as described in Section 5 of the updated Privacy Policy, unless you opt out. Your apps’ end-user data and your account and billing details are not used for training, and Business and Enterprise workspace data is excluded from training by default.
  • Free and Pro: exclude your own data by enabling Data collection opt out in Account Settings → Privacy.
  • Business and Enterprise: workspace data is excluded by default.
If you’re on a Free or Pro plan, open Account Settings → Privacy and enable Data collection opt out. You can do this before or after the September 9, 2026 effective date — opting out before means your data is not used for training; opting out later excludes it going forward. It’s free and doesn’t affect your use of AI features. If you’re on the Business or Enterprise plan, your workspace data is excluded from training by default.
Opting out takes effect going forward: your content is excluded from all training data assembled after your opt-out takes effect. It does not retract content from training datasets assembled, or models trained, before then.If you opt out before September 9, 2026, training under the updated policy will not have started, so your content is not used for training at all.
The setting lives in Account Settings → Privacy for every account. Free and Pro users can turn it on or off at any time, at no cost, without losing any features. If every workspace you belong to is on a Business or Enterprise plan, the setting shows as enabled and can’t be changed, because your workspace data is already excluded from training by default.
