Lovable helps you create, manage, and improve paid ad campaigns. You can start with your first campaign or connect an existing ad account and import campaigns you already run. Lovable researches your market, prepares ad text, images, and videos, sets up tracking, and helps you understand the results. Google Ads reaches people across Google Search, YouTube, Gmail, Maps, Display, and Discover. Ads you create in Meta Ads Manager reach people on Facebook and Instagram. Lovable helps you choose an approach for your business, and you can use both providers. Ads are one of the Growth tools. If you are unsure where to start, ask Lovable how to get more customers. It can recommend ads or other ways to reach your audience. Lovable adds no extra fees for its advertising tools. The normal costs of chatting with Lovable apply. See Usage costs for details. Paid ads cost money separately: Google or Meta charges your advertising account for the ads you run. You set up billing with the provider and approve the budget. Lovable does not collect your ad spend or charge additional fees on it.
Advertising is available on all plans.Google Ads and ads on Facebook and Instagram use app + chat connectors. Your workspace’s connector settings determine who can connect accounts. On Enterprise plans, an admin must allow access first. See Who can create connections and clients.

How it works

You can start with a simple question, such as:
Lovable guides you through the work and asks for the information it needs. You can prepare a new campaign or connect an ad account and ask Lovable to import an existing campaign. You do not need a strategy worked out before starting. To begin, use a Google account for Google Ads or a Facebook account for ads on Facebook and Instagram. You do not need an advertising account already set up. Lovable guides you through creating or connecting one and explains any steps to complete setup in Google Ads or Meta Ads Manager, such as billing and verification. You can plan and prepare content before publishing your app. Campaigns that send visitors to your app need a published site. You can return to the setup at any time by asking Lovable to continue.

Should you run ads yet?

Lovable considers your offer, audience, market, and budget when recommending ads. You do not need existing sales or sign-ups to start. A smaller campaign can help test demand, while an established business may benefit from a different approach. If visitors cannot sign up, buy, book, or complete the action your campaign is meant to encourage, Lovable can help improve the app before you pay to send people there. It also helps you consider other ways to reach customers. You choose the direction and how much to spend.

Choose where your ads appear

Lovable explains which options fit your business and why. Common approaches include: Lovable guides you through Google campaign types like Search, Performance Max, and Demand Gen. Other formats have different requirements. Ask Lovable what it can create or manage through your connection and which steps need Google Ads or Meta Ads Manager. The guided Facebook and Instagram flow prepares image and video ads that send people to your website. Formats such as lead forms and catalog ads may need setup in Meta Ads Manager. You can run campaigns with both providers. Each has its own connection, advertising account, billing, and tracking. Lovable helps you prepare content and a strategy suited to each one.

Local businesses and Google Maps

For businesses that meet customers in person, a Google Business Profile helps people find the business on Google Search and Maps. Lovable can help set up a profile or work with a listing you already manage. With a verified listing, Lovable can link your business location to your Google Ads account after you approve. Google may take a few days to sync it. The link applies to the ad account and makes eligible ads able to show your address and appear on Maps. Google decides where ads appear. You can continue setting up ads while profile verification is pending, or choose not to add a location. Existing location links in the ad account can still apply. See Use your Business Profile with Google Ads.

Connect your account

Your Google or Facebook account is the login you use to give Lovable access. Your advertising account is separate: it holds your campaigns, performance history, budget, and billing. An app + chat connection lets Lovable work with advertising accounts your login can access. Connecting the login does not create a campaign or start spending. After connecting, you choose or create the advertising account to use for your project. Lovable guides you through connecting:
  • If you have no connection, select Connect when prompted and sign in.
  • If your workspace has a connection you can use, select it and link it to your project. You can also create a new connection.
  • If you cannot create connections, a teammate can share one with you. An expired connection needs its owner to reconnect.
The sign-in opens in a separate window. Allow pop-ups for lovable.dev and keep the requested permissions selected so Lovable can use the connection. If you decline a required permission, sign in again to complete the connection.
Sign in with the Google account you want to use for advertising, whether you already have a Google Ads account or want to create one. Google explains what Lovable can do with the Google Ads accounts that login can access.
New connections are private. You can share them with teammates under Connectors. A workspace can have several connections for a provider, for example for different businesses. A project uses one connection per advertising provider at a time. See Manage your connections.

Set up your ad account

After connecting, Lovable helps you choose the advertising account your project uses and get it ready. It shows any outstanding steps and links to Google Ads or Meta Ads Manager when you need to complete them there. Only the person who connected the login can save or change the project’s account selection.
1

Create a new Google Ads account, or choose an existing one

Lovable asks whether you want to create an account or use one you already administer.New account: choose the currency and time zone for your business. Google does not let you change them afterward. Lovable creates the Google Ads account under its manager account, which it uses to manage client advertising accounts, and invites your Google account as an administrator. Creating the account does not launch ads or start spending.Existing account: select a Google Ads account your Google login administers. Lovable requests manager access, so it can help manage campaigns in that account.
2

Accept the invitation or access request

For a new account, the invitation link opens Google Ads in a separate browser tab. Accept the invitation there. Google may redirect you to account setup. You can complete it now, or close the tab and ask Lovable for a billing setup link later. Return to Lovable to confirm access. For an existing account, Lovable links its manager account to your Google Ads account. This usually completes without any action from you. If Google leaves the link pending, Lovable shows a Review manager access step that opens the account access page in Google Ads. Return to Lovable to confirm access. Lovable helps you check that the advertising account is ready and what is still needed.
3

Set up billing and complete any verification

Add a payment method in Google Ads. Lovable gives you the setup link and can help prepare your campaign while you complete billing. Ads cannot run until Google’s billing requirements are met.Google requires advertiser verification on some accounts to check who is running ads. Only you can complete it. Lovable shows the steps it can identify and links you to Google Ads. If verification is required, complete it by Google’s deadline to avoid an account pause. If Lovable cannot see the status, check it in Google Ads.
4

Choose a sign-up offer if you are eligible

New to Google Ads? You could unlock an ad credit to jumpstart your first campaign. Choose one of three personalized sign-up offers during setup. New advertisers only. Terms apply.Eligible offers appear after you add a payment method. Choose and claim an offer in Lovable. You receive the credit after spending the amount the offer names within your first 60 days. You can pause campaigns or adjust your daily budget at any time.
You can close setup and ask Lovable to continue later, even if billing or verification is pending.
Switching the advertising account does not pause its campaigns. They can keep spending in Google Ads or Meta Ads Manager. Ask Lovable to pause them first if you want spending to stop. Lovable keeps manager access to the previous Google Ads account until you remove it in Google Ads.
Your project files are kept when you switch advertising accounts. Switching a Facebook and Instagram advertising account clears the project’s Pixel choice, but keeps the selected Page.

Prepare your campaign

With an advertising account connected, Lovable can help create new campaigns or import existing ones. The work depends on your business and what is already set up.

Work with an existing campaign

Ask Lovable to import a campaign from your connected advertising account. Importing links it to your project so its content and reports can be organized in Files and its performance can be shown in Lovable. It does not launch or pause the campaign or start additional spending. Lovable imports Search, Performance Max, and Demand Gen campaigns from Google Ads, and campaigns of any type from a connected advertising account for Facebook and Instagram. On Google Ads, importing also adds a Lovable label to the campaign. You can then review results with Lovable, prepare new content, or discuss improvements. Campaign changes need your approval.

Develop a campaign plan

For a new campaign, Lovable starts with a brief conversation about your business, audience, and any preferences you have, such as budget, region, or language. You can give a rough idea and work out the details together. Lovable researches what would help: competitors and their websites, public ad libraries, relevant searches, and other information about your market. It uses the findings to recommend a campaign approach, content, and budget. You can revisit these choices as the research develops. Together, you decide which outcomes to measure. A conversion is an action such as a booking, sign-up, or purchase. A campaign can measure more than one relevant action. Lovable helps you choose what to track and which outcomes Google or Meta should optimize for.

Prepare ad text, images, and videos

For campaigns that use images or video, creative content is an important part of preparation. Lovable helps write the copy and choose a visual direction. It can generate images and videos or work with content you provide. A Search campaign uses text ads, so it does not need the same image and video preparation. Lovable guides you through uploading content or choosing what to generate. Product photos, your logo, and reference images can provide inspiration for new content. You can use your own content, generated content, or a mix. You approve new files before Lovable uploads them for the campaign. Google Ads uses YouTube to host video ads. Lovable uploads videos there as unlisted, so you do not need your own YouTube channel. Unlisted videos do not appear in YouTube search, but anyone with the link can watch them.
You can upload JPEG, PNG, or GIF images and MP4 videos. Images can be up to 5 MB for Google Ads and 30 MB for Facebook and Instagram. Videos can be up to 64 MB on both.Lovable declares the videos it generates as AI-generated when it uploads them to Google Ads. Images Lovable generates carry a marker that identifies them as AI-generated, and Meta may label the ad accordingly.
Lovable keeps the campaign brief, images, videos, and reports in your project’s Files view, organized by campaign. You can also create marketing content or a logo without setting up a campaign.

Prepare the landing page

Your landing page is where people arrive after clicking an ad. Lovable helps prepare it so visitors understand your offer and can complete the action your campaign is for, such as booking, signing up, or buying. Ads link to your live app, using its custom domain when one is connected. For Google Ads, Lovable checks that the page loads before creating the campaign. Review and publish any app changes before sending visitors to them. Conversion tracking helps you understand what your ads achieve and gives Google or Meta data to improve delivery. Lovable helps choose the events to track and adds the tracking to your app:
  • Google Ads: the Google tag records the conversion actions you choose. Lovable can also help set up enhanced conversions and offline conversion imports.
  • Facebook and Instagram: the Meta Pixel helps you measure the actions people take on your website. Lovable can also help set up server-side or offline conversion reporting, such as reporting purchases recorded in your business systems. These options need access to the relevant data and setup for your business.
Advertising tracking can share visitor data with Google or Meta. Consent requirements depend on where your visitors are and how tracking is used. Lovable guides you through a consent choice before adding tracking. For visitors in the regions covered by the setup, you can add a consent banner or skip tracking. If you do not choose, tracking stays off there. If your app already has a consent solution, Lovable can connect tracking to it.
Lovable also helps add or update your app’s privacy policy to explain what data is shared and why. Review and publish the tracking and privacy policy changes so they take effect on your live app.

Approve and launch

Before creating, launching, or changing a campaign, Lovable shows what will be created or changed, the campaign settings, and the budget. Review them and decide whether to proceed. Lovable does not create a campaign or change it without your approval. You can choose a suggested budget or agree a different amount with Lovable. The daily budget is the amount the provider uses to plan spending, and actual daily spend can vary under the provider’s budget rules.
Google Ads campaigns normally start enabled. After you approve creation, they can run and spend as soon as Google’s billing and ad review requirements are met.
Ask Lovable to create a campaign paused if you want to review it in Google Ads before it runs.
Lovable tells you what was created and whether anything remains before ads can run, such as billing, verification, or ad review. You can ask at any time whether a campaign is running.

What to expect after launch

Google and Meta review ads against their advertising policies before they can run. If an ad is rejected, Lovable can check the reason, suggest a fix, and prepare the change for your approval. Campaigns need time and enough data for the advertising provider to learn how to deliver them. Early results can vary, and significant changes can restart learning. Lovable can help judge whether you have enough evidence to adjust the budget, audience, or content.
Google Ads uses an average daily budget. It can spend up to twice that amount on some days, with a monthly spending limit. See Google’s About average daily budgets.
You can review results in several ways:
  • Analytics shows results from Google Ads campaigns and from ads on Facebook and Instagram alongside your app’s paid traffic. Campaign metrics come from your advertising account. Website visits are not grouped by individual campaign. Facebook and Instagram campaign links need paid tracking tags, such as utm_medium=cpc, to be classified as paid traffic.
  • Campaign results in Files show the campaign’s status, results, and files with their review status in the collection that represents the campaign.
  • Chat with Lovable to evaluate performance and generate reports or suggestions tailored to your business. Lovable can help decide what to improve and save reports in Files.
For overall website traffic, use Lovable Analytics. The Google Analytics connector connects Google’s separate analytics service. You do not need it to see campaign results in Lovable. Google and Meta continue optimizing ad delivery within your campaigns. Lovable makes only the campaign changes you approve.

Campaign results in Files

When Lovable creates or imports a campaign, it links the campaign to a collection in your project’s Files view, so the campaign’s brief, images, videos, and reports stay together. Open the collection to review the campaign:
  • Status: the campaign’s status, such as Eligible, Active, or Paused, and any issue with your advertising account, such as billing that is not set up.
  • Results: impressions, clicks, conversions, and spend for the last 7 days, each compared with the 7 days before. Results cover seven completed days in the advertising account’s timezone and do not include today. Select the results to open the campaign in Analytics.
  • Files: the files the campaign uses are listed under In campaign with their review status, such as Live, In review, or Rejected. Other files in the collection are listed under Not in campaign, or under Other files while Lovable is still matching the campaign’s files.
  • Needs attention: files the provider rejected or limited. Select Fix next to a file, or Fix all, to ask Lovable to check the reason, suggest a change, and confirm with you before changing anything.
  • Campaign actions: buttons that ask Lovable about the campaign and your advertising account, for example to investigate a status that needs attention, create a report, or suggest improvements, and a link to open the campaign with the provider.
You need edit access to the project and permission to use the connected advertising account’s connection to see campaign results.

Manage your campaigns

Lovable helps you manage campaigns as your business and results change:
  • Update a campaign: pause or resume it, adjust the budget or audience, or refresh the text, images, and videos. Lovable prepares supported changes for your approval.
  • Use another advertising provider: if you already run Google Ads, Lovable can help prepare campaigns for Facebook and Instagram, or vice versa. Each provider needs its own connection, advertising account, and tracking setup.
  • Bring in existing campaigns: ask Lovable to import campaigns from your connected advertising account.
  • Stop spending: pause campaigns through Lovable, Google Ads, or Meta Ads Manager. Removing a connection or switching the project’s advertising account does not pause campaigns.
You can also manage campaigns directly in Google Ads or Meta Ads Manager. Lovable reads the current state when you ask about them. Campaigns, content, and tracking are linked to the app you are advertising. Lovable helps you continue in the relevant project when setup needs app changes.

Use your ad data in your app

The same connection can power features in your published app, such as a reporting dashboard for your team. For example:
Your app uses the project’s linked connection. Visitors do not sign in to Google Ads or Meta Ads Manager themselves. Include sign-in and authorization for people who can view sensitive data or change campaigns, and confirmation before making changes.

Manage your connections

The connection gives Lovable access to your advertising account. The account, campaigns, and billing remain with Google or Meta. Removing access in Lovable does not delete the advertising account or stop its campaigns.
  • Share a connection: open Connectors, select Google Ads or Meta ads, and open the connection’s Sharing settings. See Who can use connections and clients.
  • Reconnect: if the login expires or you revoke access, the connection owner signs in again. Lovable can help you reopen the connection when it needs attention.
  • Unlink or delete: unlink projects or delete the connection under Connectors. Deletion is permanent and removes the connection from linked projects. App features using it stop working until a new connection is added. Your advertising account and campaigns remain. See App + chat connectors for the steps.
  • Remove access in Google or Meta: Lovable’s Google Ads manager account stays linked until you remove it in Google Ads access settings. For Facebook and Instagram, remove the access you granted in your Facebook settings when you no longer want it.

Troubleshooting

Ask Lovable to help identify an account or campaign problem. These are common causes and ways to continue.
Lovable can check campaign status, billing, verification, access, and ad review results. It links you to Google Ads or Meta Ads Manager for steps you must complete there.Common causes include a missing payment method, an overdue verification step, a paused campaign, or a rejected ad. Some account-level pauses are not visible to Lovable. Check any email Google or Meta sent about a pause or deadline too.
Google and Meta decide whether ads meet their policies. Lovable can check the reason, revise the content, and ask you to approve the update.
The login may have expired or been revoked. The connection owner reconnects with the same Google or Facebook account and keeps the required permissions selected. Ask Lovable to help reopen the connection.
The connected Google login needs access to the selected Google Ads account. An administrator can grant access in Google Ads, or the connection owner can reconnect with a login that already has access. If Lovable instead asks you to finish setting up the advertising account, complete the signup in Google Ads. Reconnecting does not complete that signup.
Check that your advertising account has a payment method, the selected Facebook Page is published, and your connection has advertising access. Grant missing access in Meta Business Settings, then reconnect if needed. Ask Lovable to continue after fixing the issue.
Your connection can use only the resources shared during sign-in. If you created something afterward, the connection owner reconnects and chooses to update the shared accounts, Pages, and Pixels in the Facebook login window. Select the new items, confirm, and ask Lovable to refresh setup.
Check the reason shown in setup. The billing country you select must match your Google Ads account. Offers appear only after adding a payment method, and Google can decline a claim if the advertising account is not eligible.
